Why InsideOut

Look inside.
Then invest.

It’s easy to focus on the outside: finding the next Google or Amazon, or trying to beat the S&P 500.

We start inside—with you. What kind of life do you want? What matters to you? What do you want your money to make possible?

Your answers come first. Your investment strategy follows. That’s what InsideOut means.

Our approach

Three buckets.
One life.

Give your money a purpose based on when you expect to need it. Keep near-term needs separate from long-term goals.

01
Everyday & near-term needs

Short term

Money for daily spending and needs coming up soon.

Often held in checking, savings, or CDs.

You manage this money.
02
Around 3–5 years, sometimes longer

Intermediate term

Money set aside for a planned expense or a goal that is getting closer.

May include cash, CDs, bonds, or stocks, depending on the use, timing, and risk involved.

The goal and timing guide the choice.
03
Often 20 years or longer

Long term

Money set aside for retirement and other long-term goals, beyond what you expect to need in the first two buckets.

Invested with your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance in mind.

This is where we focus.

We manage your long-term investments.
And help you plan for the life ahead.

Your short- and intermediate-term needs help define how much you can invest for the long run. We build and monitor that portfolio, and revisit your plan as life changes.

Time frames are illustrative and depend on your needs. Investment choices involve risk; bonds and stocks can lose value and may not be suitable for money needed soon.

A little more clarity

Your questions,
answered.

Where do I view my account balances?

Select “Client login” at the top of this page or “Log in to Schwab Alliance” above. Sign in directly with Schwab to review your available accounts, balances, and positions.

What should I prepare for an introductory conversation?

Start with your main questions, financial priorities, and goals. Your advisor can explain which documents would be useful and how to share them securely. Do not send account passwords or sensitive financial documents through unsecured email.

Who do you work with?

We serve individuals, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and small business entities. We also provide ERISA retirement plan services to employer plan sponsors.

How are advisory fees determined?

Investment management fees are based on managed assets and are negotiable. Employer retirement plan services may use a flat fee or a fee based on plan assets. The scope of services and applicable fees are detailed in your signed advisory agreement. Custodian charges and investment expenses may apply separately. Comparable services may be available from other sources at lower fees.

Is there an account minimum?

Our firm brochure does not impose a minimum account requirement to engage us. Contact our team to discuss your needs and the appropriate service arrangement.
